This book describes the creation of Pakistan's new capital, from the selection of its site to the planning of the city, the construction of community facilities and the first low-income houses and administrative buildings. It covers a period from 1959-1963, and is based on the contents of about 500 reports which were issued during this period by the Athens office and the local representatives of the Chief Consultant, Dr C.A. Doxiadis.
