Publisher's Synopsis
The papers deal with micro level organisational problems of motivating employees group and inter group phenomenon, values and cross cultural issues. It has papers on macro level societal issues using behaviorual science concepts. The assumption in planning that development of economy can in turn trickle down to societal development has not been held valid in nearly 55 years of planning. Great deal of communication data suggest that, at least in the Indian context, trickle down phenomenon rarely occurs. If end-result of national planning is upgrading quality of life, it is necessary that the plan for each component that contributes to quality of life should be separately planned, with support from macro level.
