Publisher's Synopsis
This paper brings together some of the key international documents relevant to the Iraq crisis, dating from March 2003. These comprise statements by Hans Blix, head of the UN weapons inspectorate UNMOVIC (UN Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission), and by Dr El-Baradei, the Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, to the UN Security Council; the speech made by the Foreign Secretary to the UN Security Council; the 12th quarterly report of UNMOVIC; and a UNMOVIC working document on unresolved disarmament issues. A previous publication (Cm. 5769), is also available, which contains all of the UN Security Council resolutions dating from August 1990 up to Resolution 1441 of November 2002, as well as reports on weapons inspections, EU statements and statements by the Foreign Secretary.
