Publisher's Synopsis

Exam anxiety is a type of mental self-preoccupation that is characterized by a weak "Self-concept" and doubts about one's abilities, and is often associated with negative cognition, lack of concentration, adverse physical reactions, and academic failure. In other words, when a person is worried and encouraged about his efficiency and mental ability in the exam situation, so that this feeling causes a decrease in his actual performance. We say that he has test anxiety. A combination of individual, school, family and cultural factors can play a role in the occurrence of exam anxiety. In stressful situations, such as before and during the exam, the body releases a hormone called "Adrenaline". This causes the body to be in the "Fight or flight" response mode and prepare to deal with what is going to happen. A lot of adrenaline is a good thing in many cases, because it helps you to make sure that you are alert and ready to deal effectively with stressful situations.
