Publisher's Synopsis

Interactive Pharmacology is designed as a study guide with provision for revision and self–assessment. It can be used both as a personal tutor for self–tuition by individual students or groups of students in conjunction with lectures, tutorials and textbooks. Structured to complement the Pharmacology/Biology textbook, rather than replace it, the authors have adopted an approach based on the fact that pharmacology, (indeed every biological science,) deals with processes that happen in space and time. Whereas a textbook can only describe these dynamic processes, Interactive Pharmacology shows processes actually happening – schematically, in animation – and takes the student through them step–by–step. Interactive practicals are included; interactive self–tuition and self–assessment are facilitated and the student is entirely in control of the speed, depth and detail in which topics are studied, revised and tested. Minimum Technical Requirements: Windows 3.1X/Windows 95, 486 DX2 Processor, 8Mb RAM, 256 colour screen driver, CD–ROM drive Macintosh 68030 processor, 8Mb RAM, System 7X CD–ROM drive
