Publisher's Synopsis
The book, Intelligent Corporate Systems, by Brian A. LoTuS, is a critical analysis of capitalist economics and government. The author argues that capitalism is by design, exploitative and subjugates the masses. The book discusses the structure of traditional, for-profit corporations, arguing that their design is unsustainable, and therefore unintelligent. The unsustainability is attributed to the fundamental "wealth-disproportionating" qualities of corporate entities, and the dispensation of ethics, in favor of, the maximization of profit. He explores the many ways in which capitalism is responsible for unnecessary pain and suffering in the world. LoTUS asserts that sustainable, thereby, intelligent, corporate systems are ones that give priority to ethics over profits. He discusses utilitarianism as being the most effective system of ethics, which ought to guide the design of corporate systems. The book deals with a wide range of topics, including warfare and the "military-industrial complex," the criminal justice system and private detention industry, the criminalization of noncriminal conditions such homelessness, poverty, mental illness, and controlled substance use. The author draws upon his personal experiences to discuss the marginalization of groups such as the mentally ill, the homeless, and military veterans. The book exposes the unethical practice of various industries including the food production industry, the medical and pharmaceutical industries, and the financial and banking industries. The book includes a discussion of revolutions for independence, and progressive, nonviolent social reform. LoTuS draws upon the ideas and actions of many great minds and leaders, including, Socrates, Jeremy Bentham, Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Jr., Henry David Thoreau, Terrence Mckenna, and others. The author offers his own design for what features would characterize a superior management system for a global community. He discusses some of the modifications he would make to infrastructure, and presents his vision for the first Intercontinental Stacked Elevated Roadway System. LoTuS discusses his support for the abolition of the monetary-system, the dissolution of national borders, and the unification of all peoples under one flag.
