Publisher's Synopsis
Over the past couple of decades criminological integration has come into its own as a distinct and recognizable body of knowledge that now commonly appears as a chapter in most contemporary books on criminology and theory. As part of the emerging social and behavioural paradigm of interdisciplinarity, Integrative Criminology provides an overview of the various examples of criminological integration, including those approaches that attempt to integrate different theories and those approaches that attempt to integrate different bodies of knowledge. In effect, the integrative models encompassed in this reference series cover both modernist and postmodernist theories, perspectives, and approaches to crime and social control.
