Publisher's Synopsis
It is the purpose of this text to include all of the elements needed to prepare school teachers for the teaching of health. Thus, the book depicts the nature and structure of the school health program, proposes a health education curriculum suitable for the school, presents principles of teaching methodology and emphasises in detail specific ways in which health might be taught in other curriculum areas; that is, integration. The title of most of the chapters in this volume are self-explanatory. However, the matter of integration would seem to require special comment here. Integration has always been recommended as a very feasible way to include health teaching in the school curriculum.
