Left home alone while her parents enjoy a holiday in Spain, Emily looks forward to at last snatching a little fun and freedom for herself. But her strict father has asked their next-door neighbour, Arthur, to keep an eye on her while they're away. Performing his duty with zealous diligence, Arthur threatens to tell her father about any misdemeanours - fabricated or otherwise - and sets out to instil obedience with strict discipline. And so Arthur has Emily in the palm of his hand!
