Publisher's Synopsis
"Inside PostScript" documents the internal procedures and structure of Adobe's PostScrip interpreter. It shows PostScript programmers what the interpreter does with their programmes, and at the same time shows them how Adobe used PostScript to implement large parts of the PostScript interpreter itself. The book includes discussions of error handling, printer control, job execution, and file input/output. In addition, it includes several appendices: a table of PostScript dictionaries, an alphabetized list of every entry in every dictionary visible to the PostScript programmer, and a cross reference table for unlocking the relationships between internal PostScript procedures.
