This republication to Dr. John Gills's works on the subject of baptism is prompted by recent claims of those who practice infant baptism and argue that it is a sign of the Covenant and that it relates to circumcision. Dr. John Gill argues that infant baptism is part and pillar of Popery. There are several publications we recommend relating to Soteriology and Eschatology, listed at the back of this book, and for those familiar with the doctrines of grace and Strict and Particular Baptist, the book, 'The Bierton Crisis' may be helpful. We intend to bring to the readers' attention those doctrinal matters that affect the Christian today, in connection with the Law of Moses, Soteriology, Antinomianism, so-called Hyper Calvinism, and free offers of the gospel and eschatology. A break from Popery in all its forms will help in this matter.
