Publisher's Synopsis

Gifted with a warm voice, the career of Mario Trevi (aka Agostino Capozzi) spans 60 years of Italian and Neapolitan society, customs, and culture. He starts from the Piedigrotta Auditions, moving on to the ten Naples Festivals, from 1960 to 1970, where in 1963, he is the first interpreter of the famous song Indifferentemente, in the United States of America, he performs with great success at Madison Square Garden, the Academy of Music in Brooklyn, Carnegie Hall, and Radio City Music Hall. Thanks to his Artistic Merits, in 1968 the Encyclopaedia of the Neapolitan Song includes a dedicated biography of his career. He performs as singer in TV shows and broadcasts, as an actor in theatres and in cinema. He performed as author and TV presenter... an intense career that sees Mario Trevi as one of the last artists of the golden age of the Neapolitan Song in the second half of the 20th century. This autobiography is written by Mario Trevi's eldest grandson Salvatore Architravo. It includes vintage photographs, a wide collection of testimonies by colleagues and friends, and the meticulous discography which starts from 78 rpm vinyl of 1959s, passes through all musical media and reaches albums recorded on CD. Indifferentemente ... Mario Trevi.
