The only series of publications excepted in the preparation of thi work are Insect Life (no longer issued) and the Experiment Station Record. A consolidated index of the former, covering the seven vol umes issued, has been printed, and a full topical index accompanies each volume of the latter. With these exceptions, an earnest effort has been made to have this work complete, and it is believed that nothing of importance has been omitted. The plan, however, has been to insert every topic relating to the subject without reference to its importance at this time.
