Publisher's Synopsis

Sarah was a bright child who suffered from a strange mental affection. She had the ability to see and communicate with ghostly aberrations. She got the gift from her grandmother. Sarah's family moved from Greece to Osawatomie Kansas when she was eight. Her uncle worked there at a mental hospital. A bridge, the Asylum Bridge, connected the asylum hospital to Osawatomie. Sarah was fascinated with the bridge where she mingled with ghosts from a nearby asylum cemetery. Hearing this, her parents sent her to the hospital for evaluation. While there she was sexually assaulted by a male nurse. In defense, she stabbed him in the neck with a sharp yellow pencil from her journal. He bled to death on the spot; a political nightmare for Sarah and the hospital. Due to an extensive investigation, Sarah was detained at the hospital pending a review. Finally, after an extended review, she was released. She worked as a housekeeper and a waitress without incident. Over time, and a new administration, she was contacted by Martha Kline whom she worked for during her incrassation, and offered a job. She would replace Martha as Supervisor of Office and Records. The new administrative board saw this as retribution for holding Sarah during her investigation. Although, reluctant Sarah took Martha's job and returned to the hospital. It was there that she again was confronted by ghostly apparitions from the asylum cemetery nearby. Upset by this turn of events she was returned to the asylum hospital for sanity evaluations. Sarah now found the hospital deplorable and planned an escape. This book, "Incident at Asylum Bridge" is about Sarah's escape from the asylum and her life after the escape via the asylum bridge, and how she eventually ends up back at the asylum once again.
