Publisher's Synopsis
Drunk and delirious in the flooded wilderness of the Queensland bush, an old man lies dying, but in his opium-hazed last hours a priest, himself ridden with malaria, find the man's deserted shack. Either the old man's wanderings or the priest's memory takes the form of a fantastic prophecy.
