Publisher's Synopsis
Silas doesn't anticipate Reid to be outside his house until he sees Reid, his best friend and the source of his first romantic fling, accidentally drown before his eyes. Under Reid's skin right now is a Spider Demon that is exclusively interested in Silas and poses a threat. Reid, who is tempted, chooses another male human as his mate instead of himself, leaving Silas to Quinton, another Spider Demon and Reid's older brother, who becomes possessive of him.
In an act of vengeance, Quinton attacks Reid's mate, driving both demons to seek safety elsewhere and severing Silas from his devoted partner. However, when Quinton returns and expresses his desperation to begin a family, Silas learns about the difficulties that come with being a human and a Spider Demon relationship, which put their love to the test.
