Publisher's Synopsis
This is Duncan Rouch's third book of poetry, following the 'Eye of the Storm King' and 'Accompanying the Sun' poetry books, with similar themes. These are, the type of 'praise poetry', connected to the idea that it would useful to acknowledge the positive characteristics of people, and the type of 'challenge poetry', to reflect on challenges that people face in life, from both internal and external issues, often to have an emotionally darker feel, though often with at least a little light open for hope.
