But that was days ago and Jason Sharmon's father has not returned from his prospecting trip. Now fourteen-year-old Jason must battle northern Ontario-and his fears and insecurities-to find his father. Encountering many obstacles along the way, Jason struggles to survive even saving and making friends with a dog who follows him at a distance. But when he does find his father, he realizes the situation might be more than he can handle.
