Sam knew he was in trouble the minute the bullet hit. It was going all to hell. This was not how things were supposed to be. Things were not going to go according to anyone's plan. Even with all his training and his natural abilities this was not going to be easy. Things have a way of turning out different when you step smack into the middle of a war. Sam and the rest of the members of the 2nd company 3rd battalion 2nd platoon Marine Force Recon were just trying to make it through it all and come out on the other side whole and alive. They are the White Angels and their mission is to gather up downed pilots and rescue snipers who?ve kicked up a hornet's nest with their activities. Sounds simple. Just get them home, but even the simplest things seem to go amuck in war. Follow Sam and his unit through the ugliness that unfolds before them as they simply try to survive. The decay of their inner beings as they are forced to live through the life war has placed upon them. Go along with Sam on this journey for which there is no return. If he survives, he is but a husk of the person he once was and if he does not, he is but meat in a bag destined for home.
