Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from Illustrative Cases in Contracts
This collection of cases has been made for use in the class room in connection with my lectures upon 'the subject of Contracts. Being illustrative of the principles considered, I have deemed it desirable to select American cases rather than English, as the student will find an advantage in being particularly familiar with the reports of his own country in the early days of his practice. English authorities, however, are not ignored. They are frequently cited in the notes and much more frequently in the lectures, it being our object to familiarize the pupil with the history and growth of each.
