Publisher's Synopsis
Gary Grimshaw went through a period in the 1980s where he created punk flyers, flyers for small venues, local venues and acts. By 1988 the bible of rock posters, the book "The Art of Rock From Presley to Punk" was published, and a company Gary went on board with reformatted the flyer for poster size. This was the beginning of bringing Gary's classic images out in a fresh way. Ever popular and pure Detroit in energy, Iggy's musical flavor is captured in Gary's headline lettering. Bold in color and design, Gary's" Iggy Pop "became one of his best selling images. As the Gary Grimshaw Legacy Foundation continues the work of archiving Gary's work, look for more designs of the punk era from Grimshaw.
Posters are printed on 12lb. cardstock acid-free paper from a sustainable source.
