In March 1940 ten-year old Ann Mari Wallenburg found herself part of a daring escape across occupied Europe. Leaving neutral Sweden as the Nazis invaded Norway, she and her mother travelled by any means possible through the horrors of Stalin's Russia, Mussolini's Italy and into France. Having survived the Luftwaffe bombing their train to Calais, arrival in Britain was short-lived. As her stepfather was on Hitler's deathlist, evacuation to America, across the U-Boat infested Atlantic was the next plan. Would Ann-Mari ever return home?
