Publisher's Synopsis
Jim Taylor is a gifted musician whose mother, and best friend, is murdered. His father robs him of his inheritance in favour of a young wife and Jim gives up his vocation to survive. He takes a well-paid job with the first computers and ends up running the biggest software company in London. He makes thousands jobless against his better judgement. One of his former employees hangs himself and when he too is fired afterwards he walks into the sea at night to drown. Luckily, he's rescued by a kid from space and returns to shore as a young man resolved to undo the harm he had done and burning to revenge himself on his hated boss Norton, who was always complaining about his old wife.
