Wilbert E. Kidd, Jr. (Bert) has been a pastor for more than fifty years. He has served in small and medium size churches. He has served the churches as pastor, district finance chair, an assistant to the district superintendent, as well as serving on several important committees. He has further served faithfully various offices in the Myrtle Point Ministerial Association. He also worked as a financial consultant for ten years winning awards and designations appropriate to that industry. Bert graduated from college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He graduated from seminary with a Master of Divinity in Pastoral Care and Counseling. Most recently he has received a Doctor of Ministry degree in Preaching and Teaching. He presently serves Open Word Fellowship as Pastor. While the church went through some rough times in the beginning it is now stable and becoming healthy and healthful. On a personal note Bert is married to Leona Ross Kidd. Together they have five sons and two spiritually adopted sons.
