For more than three years, this book has served as an open diary of sorts for me. It has followed me through relationships, loss, life, love, death and everything in-between. It has seen my darkest corners and the light of a new day, sometimes all at once. I poured parts of myself into this book that most people have not seen and some that I never knew existed, thus making it a piece of myself in the process. My wish for those who read this book would be that it provides you with the same safe space and sense of healing that it has given me. Writing through this chapter in my life has taught me that even when grief and sadness wash over you in waves, you are still breathing; and one day, you won't feel like you are drowning anymore. If you reach high enough, you can unchain the moon.
