With compositions from the leading lights of liturgical music in Ireland, this collection contains the prize winning "Mass of Thanksgiving" by Sue Furlong. It also features a selection of music by Bernard Sexton, Ephrem Feeley, Malachy Breslin, Kenneth Maybury, Ger Lawlor, John McCann, Jan van Putten, Moira Gray, William McBride, Michael Weedle, Colmcille Ni Chonain, Rachel Pike, Patrick Killeen, Ian Callanan, Noel Henry, Ruarc Gahan, Andrew Johnstone and some of the music from the previous competition, held in January 1997. The title comes from the refrain of the winning psalm setting by Ephrem Feeley. The Church Music Competition was organised as part of the seventy-fifth anniversary celebrations of radio in Ireland.
