This picture book, I Lost My Tooth, is one of simplicity with deep meaning. It is with minimal and predictable text. The main character "Walrus" makes a perfect subject as his two long teeth are so notable in defining his character. The stress of loss is resolved, and hope is restored to all other animals when "Walrus" grows a second replacement tooth (as most mammals do).
