Publisher's Synopsis
Throughout life, lessons are learned and taught. You learn what you want to be and you learn what you do not want to be. This book chronicles the lessons learned from life both on and off of the mission field. Starting out, I thought I knew everything, but now I know that, "I knew nothing." Every country that I traveled to, I saw new God given virtues as well as demonic vices in my life. I saw what was successful and also what hindered the Christian believer in his goal of maturity. For example, I learned what it meant to be hospitable from the Middle East. I learned lessons on humility from the Far East. I learned creativity from the Albanians, and I learned disciple from the Germans. Everywhere that I went I had to learn a whole new set of life lessons both in and out of the classroom. In this book you will follow my quest to come to a better knowledge of how to live life as a Christian and how to end well. It is not easy, but I hope through the examples that I have outlined from my own life, you too will reflect on your God given abilities and on your inadequacies as well. Every lesson is drawn from true stories listed by my "Know nothing" revelations. You will walk with me through the beginnings of the revelation of God as a child and end with God's faithfulness in the aging process.
It is quite a journey that we can walk together as we learn from an American "Cowboy Bob" to an Iranian revolutionary. We will find nuggets of truth from an inner city lady of Jewish ethnicity that went from the anger of the concentration camp to a life of peace throughout eternity. In each country, you will become acquainted with true gems of wisdom taught by people who made mistakes and won victories in some of the strangest places. You will see and feel my struggles to find the narrow road that led upward, some with twists and turns that sometimes overwhelmed me. Come and let us go on this journey of discovery that will lead to new life and to a God of grace and faithfulness.
