I Have Called You by Name is eye-opening. It gave me a perspective on my upbringing and my struggles with self-love and identity. I came to realize that there is a lot of healing that still needs to be done. There's forgiveness that needs to take place within myself and others-learning to let go of not being perfect the way we were conditioned to be. Every page brought me to tears. Tears that the "younger me" wants to cry. We are taught to be tough and move on from traumatic situations, without processing or healing properly. The lack of that healing is what is tormenting us now. That needs to change. But we must be the ones to take the first step towards our healing.
