In these deliciously indignant literary protests, Tolstoy writes to the world radical truth with a frankness and honesty, rarely found today. While most of these essays center on Nonviolent Nonresistance to Evil, Tolstoy writes from a wide spectrum of subjects and targets, including war, the Bible, vegetarianism, Marxism, Anarchism, poverty, cruelty and love.
Included with the essays in this collection is a preface and epilogue by the translator.
