Born on October 7 in 1983, Quamrul Hassan is a poet, journalist and entrepreneur. An ex-cadet of Faujdarhat Cadet College, he studied at the Department of English, University of Dhaka.
Quamrul is a familiar name in the international haiku scene. His books Spring Moon (2001) and Hyaku Haiku (2016) have been both popular and critically acclaimed, with the former being the first book of English haiku penned by a Bangladeshi.
