Publisher's Synopsis
Drama starring Forest Whitaker as a Louisiana basketball coach who inspires a team of students in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Al Collins (Whitaker) coaches basketball at John Ehret High School, across the river from New Orleans. Like all those closest to the devastating effects of the hurricane, Al is appalled by the situation in which the residents of the city find themselves. As a consequence of the disaster, Al finds himself coaching a team drawn from five, formerly-competing high schools. He faces a tough challenge in getting the players to bond and to find the energy and will to compete after the disaster. Nonetheless, with the motivational skills of Al and the on-court talents of star player Brian Randolph (Robbie Jones) at their disposal, the team might just have a chance of success.
