Human Cytokines II will review the new generation of molecules and their place in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and viral, infectious, and immunologic diseases, et al. It includes the new interleukens, new transforming growth factor, and exciting recent information on stem cell factor and inhibitors. The field remains one of the hottest areas of cancer research, with new cytokines and new clinical successes constantly reported. The uses for these proteins show signs of only expanding, as the identification and application process is refined. I expect that we will shortly be discussing the possibility of a Cytokines III.
