Publisher's Synopsis
Our lives are not just memories for us, but history for future generations. When I read a memoir, I like to have descriptions of the life as people are living it: descriptions of where they live, the clothes they wear, the food they eat, the cost of food, descriptions of day-to-day living. Even if it's a special memoir about a specific subject--incest, abuse, surviving an illness, etc.--I want to know what their day-to-day life is like. Your memoir is of interest because of the way you lived it, your feelings, the way life in general was as you saw it. Because you were creating history.
