When was the last time you had Elderberry Pie or Sipped Elderberry Wine? It has probably been a long time since anyone has heard of eating a elderberry jam or jelly. And elderberry wine is nearly unheard of, but perhaps that will change. One of the increasingly popular shrubs these days for food products is the elderberry. Until recently, there had hardly been a favorable mention of this under-planted fruit bush, but now there is a greater interest in large-scale elderberry farms or orchards. Elderberry fruit and the flowers are becoming very popular medicinal supplements and tea. In the landscape design, elderberry makes a nice medium to tall-sized shrub. Some species can grow into small trees.Our intent with this book is to introduce you to the Elderberries, with the simple guidelines to grow them. Once they are growing, it won't be long before you can start harvesting clusters of berries, and then the rest is up to your imaginative skills to use the fruit. Enjoy.
