After a very close call with a terrifying government organization in a parallel dimension, John Fitzgerald is hoping the rest of his summer will be a bit more relaxing. Unfortunately, his fellow inter-dimensional travellers have all decided to crash with him in Toronto for a while. As the tension of having seven people and one fat cat in a small house rises, strange events begin make everyone feel that they're not quite as safe as they had hoped...
Indeed, the evil Ridpath is determined that no gang of kids is going to foil his "inter-planetary environmental correction program" and plans to make sure John and his friends won't be a problem again. Though John is determined that he won't go down without a fight, rallying the troops is a little problematic-Goth-girl Delores won't get out of bed, even to lace up her beloved Doc Martens, and slacker Gus would rather go home to chill in Australia than battle evil again. Still, John knows that there's a time for playing it cool and there's a time to pull it together, break through the space-time continuum, and save the universe ... again.
