TV miniseries about the magician Harry Houdini. Academy Award-winner Adrien Brody plays the famous magician Harry Houdini, portraying his rise to fame and examining the life behind the magic tricks. Named Eric Weiss at birth, he transformed himself in to 'The Great Houdini' astounding the world with his tricks and illusions before evolving into a master escapologist. Along his path to notoriety Houdini meets a variety of royals and celebrities, visiting various Presidents of the US and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (David Calder). His fame takes him into the secret world of espionage and later Houdini must once again evolve and adapt to the changing modern world when new technologies threaten his act.
