Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from Host Plants of the Six-Spotted Leafhopper and the Aster Yellows Virus and Other Vectors of the Virus: March 1960

The literature also shows that, although the six-spotted leafhopper appears to be the only vector of the eastern strain of the aster yellows virus, there are a number of other vectors of the western (california or celery yellows) strain of the virus. A list of the vectors of the western strain is also presented.
