Publisher's Synopsis
I had no idea anyone would want to know more about me (after reading this book I figure you pretty much know all you would want to know). The book people said I had to so here goes. Edwin and I did get married, after I moved to Hollywood and he spent eight months in Terra Bella Teck. (Road camp - for fighting). We moved to Bakersfield, CA. and pretty much tore it up. It was 1965 and all the honky tonks in Bakersfield were in full swing. Buck, Merle and all the Bakersfield sound could be seen every weekend, live and in person. I had pretty much given up on Rock 'n' Roll. We also made many, many trips to Porterville. And had a blast. Edwin and I have two boys, Colin and Shane. One daughter-in-law Kristen and my special sweetheart of a granddaughter Dezeray. We were married for thirty three years when Edwin died of a heart attack. I am still pissed off as I was not done with him yet. I did try to date, but that's a whole nother' book. When a date was required for a function, I took my six foot cardboard fold out of Bogie'. He was the perfect date for so many reasons. He never looked at other women he only had eyes for me. Looked great in pictures, didn't drink too much. When I said it was time to go home he was ready. Always the gentleman, he walked me to the door, retired to his room and I went to bed. I remember one time when I asked Shane, my youngest, if he had watched a particular new sit com on television and his reply kind of said it all. "Mom, I don't have to watch sit com's I live in one." What more can I say? I had a very fun life, full of adventures. Approx. thirty years ago I opened a fabric shop. Not my brightest idea, but while sitting there, day after day, bored stiff, waiting for customers I stumbled on the idea of making Halloween costumes. I just made them and taped them to the window and sold every one. That made me realize I could sew them at home and I have been selling costumes out of my home ever since. This is the hardest thing I ever had to write - so now I'm done.
