Bhakta Jacob also known as Jagannath Das 's life is not working out and he has questions about God and the purpose of living such a troublesome existence. He moves out of Bethlehem, a small hometown in free State, South Africa, seeking for a bona fide spiritual master. This is after his music career fails to take off. First he heads to Bloemfontein where he meets a Hare Krishna friend who introduces him to Krishna consciousness and sends him to Sri Sri Radha Radhannath Iskcon Temple in Durban. There he discovers the truth about himself and unites with others who follow an ancient spiritual practice but then he uncovers dark secrets about the Society that threatens the only thing he cares about the most: his freedom from repetitive reincarnation in this material world full of miseries brought on by birth, death, old age and dis-ease. Will he make it back home safe?
