The HOMX reporting marks have traditionally been assigned to Home Petroleum / Home Oil Company Limited. In 1985, the railcar fleet had 171 LPG tank cars acquired from several sources. The cars were numbered in the 1000s, 2000s, and 3000s. Most of the cars at the time were fifteen to twenty-five years old. Today, the reporting marks are currently assigned to CIT Group / Capital Finance, Inc. The fleet is currently composed solely of LPG tank cars all from one source, Chevron USA's CPDX fleet. The oldest of which are coming up on thirty-four years since being built. The bulk of the fleet, about seventy-eight percent of the cars are less than seventeen years old.
