Publisher's Synopsis
In Matthew 1:23 we read, "'Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, ' which is translated, 'God with us.'" Jesus came as "God with us," but then after 33 years He returned to heaven. Does that mean there is now a void of God in the earth? John 16:7 says, "Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you." How could it possibly be advantageous for Jesus, the person of God that had come to be "with us," to go away?
Before he left He told His disciples, (John 14:16) "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever-"
