Publisher's Synopsis
This book is intended to be used by upper elementary teachers and homeschoolers as a supplement to most US History textbooks for upper elementary grades. This book has been aligned to most Fifth Grade US History textbooks. Each Lesson in This Book is Divided into Two Parts: 1. The answered questions page. This page is designed to be used as a supplement to a teacher's lesson plan, organizing the material of each lesson into question and answer form. 2. The unanswered questions page. This page has the same questions but without answers. It is designed to supplement the student's worksheets. The material presented in the book can also be given to the student for self study after reading the material in his or her textbook. After studying, the student can answer the worksheet page as a form of formative assessment or practice. Types of Questions: 1. Sentence Completion Questions. These questions are designed for definitions or short information questions. 2. Writing Questions. I believe that students should practice Writing as much as possible outside their usual Language Arts class. Therefore, I have included many Writing questions throughout the book that test the students' ability to analyze more difficult concepts or to express themselves in writing. Finally, History of The United States for Upper Elementary Students has been designed to offer a comprehensive overview of the history of the United States. The book was aligned to standards for Fifth grade History and Social Studies. About The Author Mrs. Barrage is a licensed teacher in New Jersey and a proud homeschool parent.
