Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from History of England Under Henry the Fourth: 1405 -1406
I have many acknowledgments to make for help received in working at the present volume - notably to Mr. Hubert Hall of the Public Record Office, and Mr. Edward J. L. Scott, Keeper of the Manuscripts in the British Museum. To the latter gentleman I am indebted for generously placing at my disposal a transcript of Hoccleve's 07mzegaa'rum (add. Ms. A), which I hope that he may yet decide to publish for the benefit of historical students generally.
