Publisher's Synopsis
Documentary tracing the history of Concorde, the world's first supersonic passenger jet originally designed in the 1960s. Although it initially faced scepticism, with the British government trying to cancel it, and the Americans to ban it, Concorde went on to enjoy 27 years service with British Airways and Air France. Following its return to service after the plane's only crash in Paris on 25th July 2000, Concorde faced dwindling passenger numbers, and was eventually retired on 24th October 2003.
