Mais cette passion, a laquelle il ne sait pas resister, lui prend tout son temps. Toujours presse de se debarras ser de ses ministres pour courir a la chasse, il n'etudie pas a fond les questions; et cependant ses jugements sur les interets politiques de l'espagne sont en general justes et sages; et sa tenacite etonne et contient ses ministres quand il a une fois adopte la ligne qu'il veut suivre. Le blame, on le voit, est ici a cote de l'eloge, et l'un garantit la verite de l'autre.
