Publisher's Synopsis
Jaycee joined the Air Force to be around airplanes. A year later he was on a red clay trail wondering if he and his team would survive the day. This "novel in stand-alone short stories" describes the events that ensued when a small group of Airman Recruits started basic training in the 1950's. They had no idea they were going to be part of two seminal events; i.e. the quiet re-emergence of United States Air Force Special Operators and the Secret War that had started to blossom in Laos, the war that expanded and became known to the public as the Vietnam War in the 1960's.Constantly exposed to danger in training and in the field, they carried the additional heavy burden of having to keep their activities secret.
