Publisher's Synopsis

Tumach and Heezfar the two characters in the play He's Far

too Much idle away awaiting hand outs from well wishers.

Instead of engaging in meaningful activities to eke out a

living, they waste time conjuring riches in their minds. At one

point they panic about their predicament and in another they

reassure themselves that all will be well. Unable to overcome

the misery resulting from their purposeless lives, they sleep

walk to their own death.

He's Far too Much is a beautifully rendered translation of the

play Amezidi by Said Mohammed that depicts vividly the

dependency syndrome that has stalled growth and development in the developing world. The translators have incorporated song and play in the dialogue to produce a

translation that is not only interesting to read, but also

exciting to perform.
