Who knows what really goes on behind closed doors...Alice loves her husband, but she loves her lazy lifestyle more. James has very few people to turn to as his wife's mental and physical health starts to deteriorate, and leans heavily on his best friend Brett and step daughter Deanna. Finally meeting and falling for a long lost lover, Petra, he sees a possible way out of his loveless marriage, but Alice has other ideas and is determined to live out her days without the complication of a divorce. Petra gets caught up in the madness and her life is quickly under threat by the strange methods her lover's wife resorts to. What if you were married to someone you thought was dying, but then again, maybe it's all an elaborate hoax? What if, someone else was really pulling all the strings in your relationships? Maybe there's a lot more going on than first appears... James is up against something he has no control over, and maybe the only way out is with the help of an old Japanese professor of mythology.
