This book approaches the relation between litterature and gastronomy both in France and The U S, having as a primary research foccus on the work Gigi, of Colette, for France and Breakfast at Tiffany's written by Truman Capote, for the United States, and deals withnthe myths of the intertextual dialogue of this two works as an axis of literary theory. It approaches equally the relations of this two works and authors with the motion picture indudtry, since there are French cinema version of Colette's book apart from the one directed by Vincent Minelli, and an US/Hollywood version of Capote's book. The work was conceived in the scope of the required work necessary to obtain the Diplome des Hautes Etudes du Gout, de la Gastronomie et des Arts de la Table, University of Reims-Ardenne Champagne and Le Cordon Bleu de Paris, France in October 2019
